Senior Engineer Distribution (ECDC)
The primary responsibilities of the Sr. Engineer are to carry-out broad engineering assignments, performing independent evaluation, selection and application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Prepares recommendations for management and assists in developing plant practices and policies. Solves unusual problems jointly with manufacturing supervision.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Audits and maintains incentive pay program and work measurement by use of accepted analytical techniques to provide adequate earnings opportunities equally to all operators.
Develops and applies new methods for more efficient use of available equipment and searches for and evaluates new equipment and systems.
Works with production operators on methods and performance.
Specifies quality standards and works with quality control to ensure that production levels are maintained without sacrificing quality of the product.
Assists line management in solving technical problems.
Develops and maintains cost control systems. This includes working with management to institute cost controls or cost reduction projects.
Performs these and other functions as needed.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 8+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
A bachelor s degree in Industrial Engineering
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and email communications
Good analytical and mathematical skills
Aptitude for systems and systematic work
Excellent oral and written communications
Strong interactive skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English and Spanish (written, oral and presentation skills) a plus
Knowledge of Distribution systems (Warehouse Management Systems, Labor Management System, and Warehouse Execution Systems)
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Light travel required (less than 10%)
