Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers as well as engineering deliverables that include, but are not limited to, investigatory studies, reports, analyses, and the layout and design of wireless communication sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the activities of the A&E team to meet production and quality goals set by management
  • Interpret, organize, coordinate, and execute technical assignments and ensure that standards and procedures are adhered to
  • Maintain existing client relationships and build new relationships
  • Assist the Business Development team in the preparation of proposals
  • Report on team performance in accordance with formats provided by management
  • Review regular accounting statements to ensure project goals are met
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients
  • Prepare lease exhibits and zoning and construction drawings from designs or analyses
  • Review and apply local, state, and federal codes and design parameters
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors to incorporate vendor equipment data into documents
  • Redline documents to be completed by the CAD team
  • Develop and conform to quality procedures and perform quality control of deliverables
  • Perform CAD as required
  • Perform site visits to collect accurate dimensions, data, and photos for developing deliverables
  • Review detailed or rough sketches to verify accuracy
  • Prepare and maintain production trackers and templates for program development
  • Develop and adhere to standard operating procedures and CAD standards
  • Provide guidance, technical leadership, problem solving, training and support to staff
  • Evaluate work priorities within appropriate work queues and align resources to meet required work cycle times
  • Develop new processes and procedures related to A&E deliverables and CAD services
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Job Duties:

  • Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company's objectives, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with HR to resolve escalated employee matters.



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Experience:

  • Six or more years' experience in the wireless telecom industry
  • Four or more years' experience with AutoCAD and two or more years' experience with AutoCAD 2014 or higher
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of wireless tower equipment and compound layouts with experience in all aspects of wireless telecom A&E services, including field services, design, deliverable production and management

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to become licensed as a PE in multiple states via reciprocity required
  • National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveyors ('NCEES') certification strong preferred
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Time management skills; must be able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgement, and solve problems
  • Ability to lead, teach, train, and motivate staff

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
  • Travel up to 20% of the time, including short notice travel. Travel may include local site travel or national travel depending on business needs.
  • Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
  • Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
