As a Quality Assurance (QA) team lead, you will have the opportunity to work on leading the validation of the product solutions for our Optum Government Solutions area. You will assess current and future testing needs and determine the proper approach to ensure applications are validated properly per contractual agreement. You will review, interpret, and assess the testing requirements and translate them into various testing phases to ensure Optum Medicaid Management Services (OMMS) solution and delivery of stated business objectives are being met.

Lead Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure a successful implementation of the Medicaid solution while being available at the client site Translate and align identified business needs for Medicaid Management System solution implementation into appropriate testing validation solutions/strategies Responsible for managing testing phases for critical Medicaid business technology solutions including the underlying infrastructure they run on (e.g. Medicaid Enterprise System Integration) Manage testing resource costs and ensure efficient use of QA resource alignments while focusing on overall business objectives Ensure alignment of projects deliverables from testing perspective (i.e. Master test strategy, test plan, reports) Ensure appropriate risk assessment and mitigation planning for the project Monitor and control QA risk mitigation/remediation plans, and address issues appropriately Demonstrate understanding and ensure compliance of applicable laws/regulations/requirements regarding HIPAA, PHI data, CMS regulations Ensure technology system availability, scalability and capacity to meet current and future testing needs

: Bachelors Degree in Information Technologies or 10 + years professional experience in a business setting 5+ years of management experience with software testing accountabilities utilizing ALM tool 5+ years of experience of software testing test phases (i.e. SIT, E2E, UAT, Parallel, Pilot) 7+ years of technology and/or operations experience 5 + years Healthcare industry experience focusing on Medicaid solution 2+ Experience managing the validation (testing) of Medicaid solution implementation including Provider Enrollment, Member Management, Claims processing and Utilization Management Prior Project / Portfolio management experience with a successful track record of delivering / driving projects in scope, on time and on budget Proven experience planning and delivering high quality technology solutions on time and on budget Travel 50-75% (out on Monday Thurs, with home on weekends; 3 weeks out of the month also depending on status of the implementation) Location Columbia, SC, but telecommute for right candidate willing to travel Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast pace, client facing environment managing multiple priorities Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, as well as communicate with executive management Prior analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting experience Prior experience communicating to at all levels of the organization (both written and verbal as well as visualizations) Strong client facing consulting experience Healthcare industry experience focusing on Medicaid solution Experience managing the validation (testing) of Medicaid solution implementation including Provider Enrollment, Member Management, Claims processing and Utilization Management Experience validating CRM solutions (SalesForce) and TriZetto products (i.e. Facets) i Careers with Optum.
