Job Description

How you'll make an impact.
The Senior Director Supply Chain Excellence will play an integral role in shaping the connectivity between the commercial and operation teams to build the world's best supply chain. Working with the divisional supply chain teams, this role will assess the current state and recommend solutions and processes to meet our customer demands efficiently and effectively. At the same time, we need to ensure that we are anticipating the future trends and disrupters and building capabilities to leverage and take advantage of these being agile enough to ensure we adapt and use this as a competitive advantage.

What you'll do.
The Supply Chain Excellence team sits within the broader Global Business Services Organization and works closely with divisional operations, commercial, distribution teams to influence outcomes. The team will also be focused on new advanced capabilities as well as leading cultural change to embed discipline in planning processes throughout the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with divisions to develop and implement transformational business plans. Act as a thought leader by providing analytical insight and perspective. Support business development including M&A due diligence and integration programs.
  • Identify and confirm the success metrics, frequency and cadence by which to measure and manage the corresponding supply chain transformation activities.
  • Establish a clear and accountable planning process. This will include a robust planning cycle and capabilities, such as short-range forecasting and demand planning, pipeline reviews and other requisite check points to ensure business exceeds objectives.
  • Improve processes within the end to end supply chain, leveraging new concepts and technologies, to further drive sustainable improvements and make supply chains ready for the future,

How you'll get here.

  • Integrated Supply Chain Acumen. Direct experience from a large-scale multinational environment is essential. Ideally, this individual has experience working with complex global multi-national manufacturing footprints. This individual must have experience enhancing the performance of the functional leaders in Supply Chain. M&A experience is desired. Strong knowledge of multiple supply chains, e.g. custom made solutions to mas market supply chaings.
  • Business Partner. A strong commercial orientation and a proven ability to partner with line managers and operating teams to drive and monitor performance and to develop strategic plans.
  • Change Agent. Possesses change agility and mobilizes others in the organization to initiate change. Experience helping lead an organization through change is preferred, including direct experience with supply chain transformation activities, M&A, operating initiatives and cost control programs that build growth and profitability.
  • Leadership/Executive Presence. Seasoned business judgment and a passion for increasing shareholder value and improving processes across the enterprise. An intentional advisory style; experience and ability to interact with the top executive team. Ideal candidates will be capable of challenging senior and line management in a constructive, balanced way, offering solutions and fresh thinking.
  • Conviction. Has well supported views and appropriately advocates while being open to ideas of others. Takes personal responsibility to ensure full execution.
  • Effectively Consumes Data. Good at spotting trends and interpreting data. Looks at data from different angles and asks the right questions to gain additional insights.
  • Intellectual Curiosity. Deep desire to understand the business and offers short and long term strategic insight. Immerses oneself through experiencing first hand, both internal (other functions, employees, operations) and external (customers, suppliers) constituents to understand their perspective.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in the areas of Supply Chain management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning and execution and/or Demand Management
