Job Description

Job Title: TLD Performance QC Technician

Reports To: Quality Manager

Group/Division: FSI

Location: Oakwood Village, OH

Day/Shift: 1st

Position Summary:

The TLD Performance Quality technician will work in a small team environment to perform performance testing on personnel dosimeters and Thermoluminescent (TLD) materials. The TLD Performance Quality technician's primary responsibility will be for the timely execution of performance quality checks on manufactured dosimetry products. In addition to performance testing, the TLD Performance Quality technician will assist in developing and improving the overall Quality Management System, performing internal audits, assisting with corrective actions, improving or developing test methods, reporting process metrics, performing investigations, gauge studies, assisting engineers and manufacturing engineers, all with minimal supervision.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Perform quality checks on dosimetric materials, primarily Thermoluminescent dosimeters

* Perform material inspections to assure quality and conformance

* Perform inspections of supplied parts to determine adherence to engineering drawings and specification

* Maintain testing instruments and systems

* Collect and present quality data that relates to quality, performance and process controls

* Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve customer complaints and quality issues

* Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System by:

* Maintaining the documented Quality Management System: work instructions and procedures

* Participating in continuous improvement efforts especially those related to quality control and quality assurance

* Performing investigations to identify root-cause with minimal supervision when problems arise

* Championing good documentation practices

* Performing internal audits

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

* HS Diploma or GED; technical or associates degree (AS, AA, AAS, AAB or similar) preferred

* Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems

* Demonstrated attention to detail and able to follow documented procedures

* Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

* Able to generate reports, report metrics and create and maintain work instructions

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Proficient in Microsoft Office tool suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, etc)

* Capable of performing basic machine repair on instrumentation (electrical and mechanical)

* Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication

* Able to work collaboratively in small team environments

* Exemplary work ethics and ability to work a regularly scheduled full-time shift, with the ability to work overtime, including weekends, when necessary

* The position requires standing and/or walking over 30% of the day, and the ability to safely lift and move 20 - 30 pound packages at a time
