How Will You Make an Impact?

The Practical Process Improvement Systems Specialist uses a combination of industrial engineering and continuous improvement concepts to develop scientific manufacturing standards, best practices, and works with the organizational functions to improve performance. You will learn/master the playbook and use it as a guide to reduce scrap, improve quality and on time delivery. Utilizing practical process improvement (PPI) tools, you will identify and address performance bottlenecks, low yield processes and find ways to run processes better and faster than today and measure success by reducing waste and process losses, improve productivity and increase the operator's sense of ownership of systems



What will you do?


  • Work with Site Leadership to identify and address low yield processes.
  • Lead Process improvements by partnering with operations and supporting functions, working with them to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and implement agreed upon continuous improvement alternatives
  • Drive cataloging of opportunities, quantification of opportunities, management of resources to capture data, coordination of ideation and project management to ensure execution of milestones.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure consistent implementation of new, improved processes
  • Establish measurable criteria to ensure desired results are obtained and provide management with updates via tracking reports reflective of Key Performance Indicators in line with set priorities and timing targets
  • Identify training needs for facilities and assist in the deployment of agreed to training techniques, content, and timing
  • Develop effective influential relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring proposals are commercially and financially informed
  • Promote the transformation of a reactive organizational culture to one that is more proactive, utilizing data driven decision-making, and giving priority to preventative actions.
  • Train and educate the organization and implement continuous improvement methodologies including PPI, 6 Sigma, 5S, Lean, OEE and others
  • Review business processes to enhance effectiveness and benchmark with Industry Best Practice


  • How will you get there?




    Education

    BSc/BA in manufacturing, engineering or electronic

    Experience
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of RCCMs, PPI, 6 Sigma, 5S, Lean, OEE, and other Continuous Improvement techniques and their application.
  • Understanding of DMAIC principles: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control.
  • Two plus years of successful supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead programs/projects and manage teams.
  • Electronics, X-ray tube manufacturing or bench top manufacturing background a plus.
  • Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (accounting, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interface and effectively influence all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with product sourcing and delivery execution.
  • Ability to work off shift and occasional weekends.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% on an annual basis
