Our client is currently seeking a Regulatory Electronics Compliance Engineer
The compliance lead is responsible to ensure the required regulatory compliance on the devices, including UL or CE marking.
You will also work with teams to ensure devices continue to be in compliance with all certifications. Regulatory support may also include new product review, regulatory filings, promotional material review, label review, knowledge of regulations, standards or regulator guidance, response to regulators for inspection findings or submission questions, regulatory policies and procedures, and customer inquiries.
Achieve and maintains an effective product compliance posture to prevent and/or resolve product impacts/delays to the customer while minimizing business risk to organization.
Establish, track and research applicable regulatory requirements and method of demonstrating compliance for company hardware.
Document standard operating procedures and protocols for the hardware regulatory compliance process
Ability to apply hazard/risk analysis, to identify compliance deficiencies, opportunities to improve product safety and/or quality; effectively document, communicate and track results to resolution Provide expert product technical guidance and serve as the technical resource in your area(s) of expertise
Provide cross-functional guidance to assure new and existing products, components, and materials comply with pertinent regulations world-wide
Provide guidance for regulatory marking and documentation requirements on products and packaging
Examples include FCC, UL, CE, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, etc.
Manage processes to demonstrate regulatory compliance through third-party analysis and test Manage the preparation, submission, sharing, and archival of all hardware regulatory documentation
Act as a liaison between expert regulatory and legal consultants and t cross-functional team
Ability to work/communicate effectively with engineers, technical specialists, and management, cross functionally, in a multi-disciplinary, global environment; Comfortable interacting with regulators, outside agencies, industry trade groups/associations, and customers as required
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills; exercises sound judgement in applying these skills
Strong collaborative, organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written/verbal/communication and presentation skills
Keeps abreast of changing standards and product regulations (LVD, EMC Directive, REACH, RoHS), and industry guidance documents, and communicates effectively to the organization necessary actions to maintain compliance.
Master s degree in electrical engineering, or BS with 5 years of Safety/EMC/RF experience Minimum of 5 years of International Regulatory Compliance experience in a testing lab or engineering project development environment with focus in Safety/EMC/RF
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
Candidates for this position are required to have hands-on experience on Safety/EMC/RF testing Good understanding of global consumer electronics EMC/EMI/RF standards such as, FCC/IC rules, EN/ETSI, RED, etc. is a must
Candidate must be able to write technical documents clearly and concisely.
Candidate must have knowledge of local certification processes and must be able to interact with local certification authorities
