-Provide accurate and timely set-up of all CNC Swiss lathe screw machines as assigned, from blueprint to first article.-Insure accuracy of jobs through the shop by identifying and correcting errors and/or changes on prints when needed.-Collaborate with engineering to assure accurate machine operations.-Become knowledgeable of various materials, insert grades and the tooling required in all machining operations.-Develop a thorough knowledge of blue print reading and have the ability to interpret most drawings.-Set a positive and professional example for machine operators.-Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.-Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment.-Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.-Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.-Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of computers and computer systems
The capability to troubleshoot, and repair Star CNC screw machines You will be responsible for installations, set-ups, and training operators on the capabilities and workings of Swiss CNC screw machines.
5+ years machining experience
At least 3 years of set up experience on Swiss Lathe Equipment
Blueprint reading and first piece inspection knowledge
Experience with all Quality Control testing equipment
