POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The duties of the Electrical Designer will be to design electrical, telecommunications systems, and electronic security systems for buildings. The electrical systems include normal and emergency power distribution systems, lighting systems, grounding systems, public address systems, nurse call systems, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, CCTV systems, voice/data systems. The Designer will be required to develop electrical Revit drawings, write specifications, and perform cost estimating. Travel is required for project field investigations and project conferences. This position requires a person that is a team player, has a very professional work ethic and the ability to interface with the client on a daily basis. Many of the projects will be buildings to be constructed or renovated on US Federal Government property.

Due to the nature of our work, U.S. citizenship is required, the individual must be able to obtain a United States of America Passport and be able to pass U.S. Federal Government required background checks in order to have access to these U.S. Federal Government properties.

POTENTIAL CANDIDATE:

Must have excellent problem solving skills, verbal and written communications skills and computer skills.

Minimum required college GPA: 3.0

Passed the NCEES FE (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) will be a plus.

This position requires the candidate have the career goal of becoming a Professional Engineer.

Experience with Revit, Autodesk® AutoCAD and Microsoft Office will be a plus.
