Provides support to the Manufacturing Engineering organization to facilitate efficient project completion, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that manufacturing efficiency goals are met. Facilitates projects that protect the design and manufacture of our OCT and FFR systems. Works cross functionally to ensure timely closure of projects as well as compliance to all applicable global standards.
Core Job Responsibilities
Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions. Provide guidance to other engineers and technicians.
Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations
Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput through the use of Lean manufacturing concepts
Coordinate the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipment
Work with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Bachelor's degree (Engineering) plus 5+ years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
