Excellent analytical, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills.
Experience in managing a variety of projects and adhering to schedules
Proven record of managing increasingly complex projects
Ability to manage projects and adhere to budgets
Abilities to set daily priorities and work schedules
Ability to interface with all levels of staff and management
Exercise discretion and independent judgment
Working knowledge of the principals of hydraulic modeling/analysis
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
8-10 years experience working on increasingly complex Engineering projects
Utility Experience preferred
What will you be doing?The Engineer will oversee the design and management of a variety of capital projects in the Westchester office, specifically water main replacement, tank painting and booster station improvements. As needed, Engineer will also work on projects in other BUs including Forest Park and Rockland, or others as assigned. Generate technical specifications and contract documents. Manage contractors, consultants, project tasks, schedule & budget. Ensure accurate technical performance and timely completion of project engineering design, plans details, studies, specifications and contract documents. Proactively explores, evaluates, and implements new technologies as needed to improve operations
