Resident EngineerSTV currently has an opening in its' NYC Office for a Resident Engineer for our Transportation and Infrastructure division to work on transportation and bridge projects in the New York Metropolitan Area.The Resident Engineer should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as Resident Engineer on infrastructure construction projects (street reconstruction/sewer/water main, etc.). Candidate should have experience with and working knowledge of NYCDDC, NYSDOT and/or NYCDOT policies, procedures, and specifications for City Reconstruction Contracts. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills.The Resident Engineer leads and supervises / manages a field staff (including monitoring budgets) for inspection of construction; reviews the construction schedule and chairs job related meetings; reviews and monitors the Contractor's for contract compliance; reviews and provides recommendations to the Design Engineer concerning Contractor's Requests and serves as the Owner's on-site representative with the Contractor to coordinate and monitor matters of quality, schedule, cost, substantial conformance to the contract documents.Required Experience:* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required* A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with RE experience working on roadway, utility and bridge rehabilitation construction projects* Experience with NYC, NYS and MTA agencies is a plus* Professional Engineer (PE); registration in NYS is a plusSTV is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
