As a key member of our Engineering team, you will lead efforts in the design & development of new electro-mechanical products. In addition, you will assist with the process development for various automotive induction, ignition, and emission system components, as well as provide support for a variety of existing product families.
Responsibilities include:
Researching and developing product specifications/requirements
Establishing conceptual and detailed component/circuit/assembled product design
Completing Bill of Materials component/assembly specs and drawings
Evaluating and approving components
Overseeing pre-production subassemblies and final assemblies through to pilot production
Providing estimated material costs
Troubleshooting and resolving quality/assembly issues
Handling other related functions as needed
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor/Master of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, along with 5+ years of related product development experience, knowledge of automotive sensors and actuators, DFMA, PCB schematic and layout design, stamping/injection molded part design, engineering plastics, and other materials used in engine management components is preferred.Excellent oral/written communication, problem-solving, organizational, PC skills, and experience with SolidWorks are all essential.EOE M/F/D/V
