    Position Duties-Responsibilities:

    Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Assurance, perform Hardware Quality Assurance engineering testing activities. 

  • Create test procedures and test plans to ensure Telematics services work according to specification and design.
  • Investigate reported issues; perform root-cause analysis; develop counter- measures to resolve; retest to validate solution.
  • Build and implement a scalable, reusable automation framework.
  • Confirm telematics provided services are performing according to specification and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Test and confirm proper functionality of all supported telematics features and backend systems to confirm robust and defect-free system.
  • Resolve telematics wireless data issues between telematics vendor, wireless provider, and telematics service provider.
  • Combine test cases to develop innovative automation scripts to reduce test cycles.
  • Requirements:

    BS Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering, or related, or equiv., plus three yrs. product testing experience

    Three years must include:

  • 2 yrs. experience in automotive wireless device testing or GPS (Global Positioning System) product testing
  • Demonstrated ability in creating automation test scripts using Python
  • Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail defect tracking and test case management tools
  • Demonstrated abilities in testing Bluetooth devices
  • Knowledge of GPS, GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and LTE (Long-Term Evolution) technologies
  • Wireless (GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) simulator tool experience
