The WM DG Vendor Engineering Technician is responsible processing Simplified interconnection applications, completion documents, small Expedited applications, Schedule Z net metering applications, communicating with DG applicants, shepherding their applications from submittal to post installation, managing construction and fostering relationships with customers and developers. Positions client as the highest performing providers of electric delivery services, customer focused solutions and interconnection of generation. Provides prompt responses to customers and installers in accordance with the DG Tariff, Net Metering Tariff and client Technical Standards.
Review completion documents for Simplified and Expedited applications
?? Schedule net meter sets
?? Perform Witness Tests for Simplified applications with battery storage and others as required
?? Perform Witness Tests for Expedited applications
?? Serves as the primary point of contact and transacts all client business with assigned DG customers with a focus on customer service, rate and billing issues, metering and recording strategies. Support the DG Engineering Team where requested and needed, for Simplified and Expedited projects
Performed reviews for completeness
Perform technical review of engineering documents including one line drawings and site plans
Checking for requested info and emailing customers/other departments about required information for applications on hold
Review C2 and one lines and appropriate net meter in STORMS
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
--Demonstrates and exhibits ability to work in a multi-task, challenging environment in order to meet requests and expectations of multiple customers and company objectives in a timely fashion.
--Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills both verbal and written.
--Strong Computer Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
--Demonstrates and exhibits ability to apply company policies and procedures, technical, environmental, and engineering expertise in the areas of customer relations and energy utilization requirements.
--Ability to apply engineering principles in the areas of customer systems and energy-utilization requirements, and experience.
--Demonstrates initiative and ability to make decisions based on logical assumptions and factual information to achieve both company and customer satisfaction.
--Ability to effectively apply technical and analytical concepts to enhance customer satisfaction while achieving client's goals and objectives.
Education and Experience: A minimum of 2 years Associates degree in Engineering field, 2 to 4 years work experience, willingness to work full time. Must have critical thinking skills.
-Experience with STORMS, GIS, and understanding of power line systems including wind, hydro and fuel power preferred.
