This individual will serve as a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) supporting Qualcomm's strategic customers ramping our 4G/5G RF and RFFE Solutions. The CQE is the customer facing entity within the larger Quality and Reliability Organization. The primary function of the CQE is to establish proactive account support strategies that will return favorable customer satisfaction results for Q&R related attributes. The CQE will work seamlessly with other disciplines within Qualcomm to ensure customer quality requirements are acted upon and achieved in a timely fashion. In this role the candidate will serve as Primary technical lead to interface and support multiple customers in all Quality Related matters. Responsibilities Key interface for Quality questions, issues and communication with assigned strategic customers. Front-line customer communication channel for any quality, reliability, or manufacturing issues. Lead the customer throughout the resolution of high profile and high impact technical issues by providing timely communication and commitment next steps and ECD for next updates. Lead internal Engineering team to resolve customer line fallout from High Volume Production as well as R&D. Primary voice of the customer to the Engineering and business community regarding the health of the RF/RFFE products which will allow to set priorities and timely communicating to the customer with Qualcomm plans for resolutions, corrective actions and time lines. Establish proactive relationships with key customer decision makers/influencers, facilitate timely customer visits where QCT support strategies are openly communicated and aligned with customer needs. Influence with data via daily/weekly/monthly reports and (or) calls, as required. NPQ (New Product Qual Documentations) Coordinate with internal teams (such as Design, Reliability, Packaging, Process Technology, Supplier etc.) to fill in the questionnaires and provide the necessary documentations and evidence of conformance timely so that new products can be accepted for new /socket design wins. Support delivery, implementation and correlation of Qualcomm generated test applications provided to customers Provide customer communications channel and work out issues to help bring up newly developed 5G module products All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience or related work experience.
2+ years experience with data modeling in statistical software such as MS Excel, Minitab, etc.
7 years + experience in Quality functions within the semiconductor industry
5 years + hands on customer support/customer Quality Engineering
Hands on knowledge/application of quality tools, statistics and structured problem solving techniques
Handset systems operation knowledge highly desirable
Demonstrated proficiency in the following soft skills: being proactive and taking initiative to drive issue resolution; having a teachable attitude; being a team player
Strong verbal and written skills
Effective handling of company sensitive and proprietary information
Ability to clearly organize and articulate information
Influence and negotiation skills to convey and respond to difficult news.
Handset Systems Understanding
High level understanding of the systems required to build a mobile device
High level understanding of the key components of the individual subsystems and how they are expected to interact
Understanding what certain failure symptoms indicate about customer issues
Assembly, test, operation flow
Integrated Circuit ATE Test
Understanding key aspects of how IC test is performed and how ATE test correlates with system behavior,
Integrated Circuit Reliability
Knowledge of typical silicon/package reliability failure mechanisms and symptoms of long term failures
Knowledge of 5G NR standards as they pertain to Sub-6 GHz and mmWave.
Experience with trouble shooting advanced 4G platforms.
