Overview Qualcomm is a leader in mobile wireless communications & computing chipsets. We are working with leading OEMs and partners on next generation mobile devices, smartphones, tablets, netbooks, computing devices etc.. The candidate will be a member of Qualcomm's Peripheral Customer Engineering team and will work on PCIe technology. The engineer will work on device drivers, kernel internals, hardware interface, hardware design, schematics. The engineer will work on platforms that include application processors, x86 platform, different Operating Systems ( Linux , Windows, Android, TN etc.. ), and should be familiar with Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Protocol Analyzer etc.. Some travel to customer site for support and to Qualcomm offices in U.S. and abroad for training and meetings may be required. Job responsibilities includes the following:
In-depth technical root cause analysis of PCIe issues reported by customers.
Working closely with technology teams to support the fix process.
Perform experimental testing to verify the resolution.
Develop debug code to help triage complex issues
Documenting application notes for Customers on key PCIe features and design.
Provide training on latest Qualcomm PCIe technology features to customers

Experience with C programming, knowledge of scripting language like python a plus.
Understanding of PCIe protocol,
Understanding of embedded real time operating systems , and Linux and Windows kernel internals.
Experience with Oscilloscope, Protocol Analyzer, Logic Analyzer etc..
