Port Lighting s Mission Statement:

Duties and Responsibilities:
To oversee architectural and theatrical projects while maintaining the highest level of quality and providing our customers the best possible experience
To work with other team members to provide the most innovate solutions while keeping projects on time and on budget
To oversee crew performing work that is under our scope and work that is associated with our scope.
To be responsible for review of construction drawings, job specifications, and bills of material.
To be responsible for putting together submittal packages for architectural and theatrical projects
To be responsible for client meetings, site visits, and job coordination meetings. Must have proficient client management skills on and off site while maintaining the utmost integrity
To be responsible for overall safety on and off the job site
Required Skills Include: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities ETCP Theatre rigging certificationOSHA 10 or 30 CardProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelCAD experience Vectorworks or AutocadProficient with various hand and power toolsAerial lift platform experience/certificationValid driver s license Ability to drive trucks as neededMust be able to lift 50lbs
The perfect candidate for this position has a working knowledge of safe rigging practices to include calculating proper loads and adequate support. Must have a good understanding of rigging hardware and its proper use. The candidate should have a working knowledge of theatrical lighting and controls to include best practices and practical applications. The candidate should have a BS, BFA or MFA in Technical Theatre, Engineering, or related discipline, or commensurate vocational experience. The candidate should also have a minimum of 3 years of experience with theatrical and/or construction industries and a working knowledge of the equipment and its applications.
