The Director, Conversions & Pipeline Management role is critical to driving content migration and related activities to ensure Pearson's successful next generation digital transformation.

The position will lead the delivery of content ingestion, migration across platforms, and support conversion remediation across the Pearson organization. The position will also manage vendor execution and SLAs related to content delivery for conversion work in customer-facing applications.

The position will manage an 8 employee conversion and pipeline management organization and extended project management group, with oversight of at least 20 individuals.

This position reports to the Director of Content Standards for Global Product.

**Role Description**

1. The Director, Conversions & Pipeline drives execution of the production processes to convert, remediate or revise content that is ingested to a new content platform or migrated between content platforms and tools. This role partners with business and production stakeholders to enable content decisions and set priorities.

2. Provide schedule and process feedback to cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with changing Pearson requirements. Adapt a creative, engaging, forward-thinking approach to digital customer-centered problems and solutions. Develop a deep understanding of Pearson's corporate mission, initiatives, and standards.

3. Support Procurement stakeholders to ensure excellence in external partner delivery of established workflows. Validate that partners are utilizing established best practice in production, monitor and update key conversion schedules, and develop creative solutions to challenges in product execution.

4. Align requirements with external partner activity to ensure our content development and production tools are enabled at scale; support documentation & training for tools (tools consultancy); criteria for vendor selection, vetting the work and training; systems integration for SWOT.

5. Demonstrate a high aptitude for communicating with internal stakeholders and customers. This role is responsible for supporting internal and external communications around critical product delivery and initiatives, promoting adherence to quality standards, and supporting the creation of the best educational products in the market.

6. Integrate best practices from across the Content Standards team (including Accessibility, Content Development, Workflow & Tools) to the procurement and product development pipeline, external partner activity, and internal production team workflow. Promote key quality standards while prioritizing product delivery and schedule commitment.

**Qualifications**

Education:

+ Minimum of a bachelor's degree.

+ Higher education and other related courseware digital content development, standards creation, content design experience with proven success required

+ Experience managing projects and people required

Required Skills:

+ Knowledge of the higher education and other global product line, competitors, instructors, and learners.

+ Experience and proven success in digital content development in the higher education, vocational, and ELT disciplines.

+ Bias for action; proven delivery within time constraints and active problem solving

+ Deep experience managing external partner organizations and improving partner quality over time

+ Proven theoretical and practical knowledge and a deep understanding of how to create efficacious and engaging learner-centered digital content experiences.

+ Ability to understand, adapt, initiate, and implement change required

+ Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and work within a small, collaborative team

+ Evidence of strategic and analytical thinking and planning, team leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, good judgment, and the ability to influence others is required

+ Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills as well as the ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information effectively

+ Ability to lead and collaborate actively with others on internal and external cross-functional teams and to build consensus and foster collaborative relationships across teams

+ Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and other content and project management tools.
