We are looking for an Associate Cyber Protection Engineer for our Defense Systemssector.The qualified applicant will becomepart of the Aerospace Cyber Effects (ACE) Group.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:

  • Conducts network or software vulnerability assessments and penetration testingutilizing reverse engineering techniques on avionics and embedded systems.
  • Performs vulnerability analysis and exploitation of applications, operatingsystems or networks.
  • Identifies intrusion or incident path and method.Isolates, blocks or removes threat access.
  • Evaluates system securityconfigurations.
  • Evaluates findings and performs root cause analysis.
  • Performsanalysis of complex software and systems to determine both functionality andintent of software systems.
  • Contributes to the design, development andimplementation of countermeasures, system integration, and tools specific toCyber and Information Operations.
  • May prepare and present technical reports andbriefings.
  • May perform documentation, vetting and weaponization of identifiedvulnerabilities for operational use.
  •  In this role you will apply extensive technical expertise andcreativity to develop solutions to complex problems. Will have full knowledge ofrelated disciplines.Work will beperformed with minimal direction and the candidate will be given considerablelatitude in determining the objectives of the assignment.Completed work will be reviewed from arelatively long-term perspective with the ultimate results contributing to thesuccessful completion of a major program or component thereof.You will represent the organizationas a prime technical contact and interact with senior customer personnel onsignificant technical matters.


    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 6 months related work experience.
  • Experience conducting penetration testing or vulnerability research
  • Demonstrated excellent judgement and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills
  • Must possess an active final Secret clearance granted within 4 years of the last investigation and have the ability to obtain/maintain access to a Special Access Program (SAP). US Citizenship required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
  • Exposure to one of the following low level assembly languages:
  • PowerPC
  • I386/x86
  • x86_64
  • ARM
  • AVR
  • Experience with one or more of the following Reverse Engineering or debugging tools:
  • IDA Pro
  • Radare2
  • GDB
  • WinDBG
  •  Any of the following certifications
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE)
  • Offensive Security Certified Exploitation Expert (OSEE)
  • Experience with control systems protocols for aircraft, spacecraft, or other vehicles, e.g. MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Spacewire, or ARINC
