For graduating students, Navigant Life Sciences offers a two-year immersion program providing the foundational skills, experience, and market insight needed to be successful in a career in Life Sciences consulting. This learning-intensive program combines direct client and industry exposure, team-based engagements, and defined development pathways and training programs for new consultants to reach their highest potential, while at Navigant, and throughout their careers. This program sets the foundation for a successful long-term consulting career at Navigant or for other careers in the Life Sciences industry.
This is a highly challenging position that draws heavily upon the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective general strategy consulting. Consultants work with Navigant Life Science teams providing support through all aspects of project work. Specific tasks include the following: scheduling and conducting interviews with physicians, payers, and other thought leaders in healthcare; gathering and analyzing medical literature, healthcare market reports and databases; and participating in document writing, production, and client presentations.
* Graduating with a BA/BS or MS degree between December 2019 and June 2020; Majors in business, science, biomedical engineering, or healthcare policy and planning are preferred * Demonstrated interest in Life Sciences consulting * Exhibit critical thinking, creativity, and strong oral and written communication skills * Demonstrate superior data collection, organizational and analytical skills and a high level of motivation and initiative * Must exhibit ability to grasp clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services * Must demonstrate willingness to travel and work overtime when required * Would not require sponsorship now or anytime in the future to work in the United States; Students possessing F-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position.
* Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills * Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently * Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work * Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location * Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data * Generally works in an office environment
