Position Summary:Nanostone is searching for a Senior Process Engineer to support our business needs especially as regards to growth in the North American market. The Senior Process Engineer will report to the Director of Application Engineering and is responsible for coordinating and completing process designs, piloting, start-ups, and supporting sales during the proposal phase. This is a hands-on role where field work troubleshooting and support will be required occasionally.
Position Essential Functions:Support Sales in development of project requirements and in vetting opportunities during the discovery phaseOperating and managing pilots to demonstrate the Nanostone solution at customer sitesWill be responsible for pilot data analysis and preparing pilot reports for the client.Develop cost-effective technical solutions to meet customers' needs while striking a balance between competitiveness and riskSupport sales in preparation of process designs, performance guarantees and other technical requirements during proposals phaseSupport project management in review of proposals and bid documents relative to system installation, field design and site workDevelop process design documentation including P&IDs, control narratives and logic, etc.Help clients troubleshoot their systems and provide after-sales support
Position Qualifications:Experience and Skills:5+ years' experience in the water treatment industry in process design and operations required - experience with membranes and other advanced water technologies preferredField experience, particularly pilot operation and/or commercial startup upStrong fundamental understanding of water treatment chemical and hydraulic designsDemonstrated ability to design and size water treatment and wastewater treatment equipment processesStrong analytical skills with the ability to understand the technical needs at a site and develop an optimized process designCapable of working relatively independently with minimal direction.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
Educational Background and CertificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. chemical, civil, environmental) required.
