Key Accountabilities: Coordinate Simultaneous Engineering with Vendors, otherwise known as SEmL, for complex components and systems, based on information provided by the 2-Cycle Engineering Organize, review and document engineering changes for 2-Cycle engines and introduce them to production Represent, structure and organize 2-Cycle engineering support and design throughout the company and to the customer Define SEmL project team per 'project' based on cross-functional responsibilities of stakeholders and lead the implementation of 2-cycle engine related SEmL projects at MTU America Provide management with daily updates and regular reports on project work plans and status, for informational and resource management purposes Provide subject matter expertise and represent development engineering (TKN) departments relative to ISO, ICS and IT requirements Support ITAR/EAR requirements for 2-Cycle engineering and TeamCenter drawing database and be the Point of Control for export regulations compliance for development engineering (TKN) department Detect conflicts with project objectives and discuss with internal subject matter experts and external vendors, and define solutions Qualifications:Basic: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of experience related to the design, manufacture, assembly or test of internal combustion engines; or 9 years of experience related to the design, manufacture, assembly or test of internal combustion engines Excellent knowledge of design, development and test engineering, and assembly operations Excellent analytical and problem solving ability, where problems are complex Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, methods and materials Ability to interpret blue prints and drawings Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite including MS project Preferred: Prior Leadership and management experience Hands on experience with MTU diesel engines Previous 2-cycle engine experience Proficient with NX Cad software Pioneer the next generation of innovation.
