The candidate will need experience of developing holistic approaches to modernization of systems and prioritizing repairs to maximize the public benefit.First and foremost, this is a diverse role. You ll act as our Rail & Transit Practice Leader for New England based out of one of our Boston area offices and as a principal project manager or project principal on a variety of Mott MacDonald s rail projects in the area and utilize your intricate knowledge of the transit sector for business development. You ll also be tasked with:Building on the strong portfolio of rail and transit projects and help us to increase our market share in New England.Providing top quality input into proposals and into business development efforts to build the transportation sector for the Division.Leading and mentoring a team of exemplary rail professionals.Grow external relationships and build and maintain strong networks with key clients, business partners and competitors, driving joint initiatives where appropriate and using these networks to influence, close deals and impact the growth and direction of the business.Acting as a role model and ambassador for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing the brand, vision and value proposition internally and externally.Nurture an innovative, challenging, collaborative and high performing work environment, which supports and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture where results are driven by a total team effort. Candidate Specification: We d love to speak to you further about the position and invite applications from candidates with:Twenty plus years of experience with rail infrastructure projects in public or private sectors, working as a consultantBachelor s or master s degree in civil engineeringSelf-directed with ability to work well / seamlessly with a larger team, including outside experts (e.g., financial, legal, regulatory, etc.)Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines toward the successful delivery of projects.Demonstrated innovation and creative thinking using the latest digital design approaches.
