Job Description: The Supply Chain & ERP Manager will work with clients on the logistics of all aspects of the supply chain which includes the plan/strategy, cost containment and contract management, acquisition of goods/services through sourcing including appropriate techniques for purchasing and controlling/managing the inventories of product/goods, manufacturing the right amounts of the product efficiently, warehouse management, and the logistics and delivery of the products.Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques is a plus. The Supply Chain consultant will have opportunities that range across a wide array of experiences including: Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution Diagram supply chain models to help facilitate discussions with customers Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists to help clients determine optimal warehouse, inventory and distribution models Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits, assessments and analysis Assist clients with assessing and analyzing relationships and arrangements with suppliers, vendors, and/or freight forwarders Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities Help clients implement new or improved supply chain processes, both from a technology standpoint as well as a pure process perspective Help clients assess supplier performance across their supply chain Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows Design or implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products Assist clients with demand planning related to forecasting demand and/or optimizing clients supply plans to ensure product/material availability Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service Facilitate client activities related to procurement, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving Help clients understand and improve how their Supply Chain function interacts with other functional business areas (e.g., finance, sales/marketing, quality assurance, engineering) Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business related studies > 5 years in the supply chain field Proficient with supply chain technology Previous experience understanding supply chain operations Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient with office applications and supply chain/procurement systems Excellent organizational and presentation skills Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time Authorized to work in the U.S. What We Offer: Intensive training through in-house training programs, as well as on-the-job-training A varied profession with a variety of market segments (industries) and significant career opportunities A diverse, dynamic and exciting work environment A competitive remuneration and benefits package 401(k) Plan
