The Technical Services Lead is a hands-on lead and oversees the Technical Services Repair department. The focus is on productivity, Metrics tracking and reporting, Continuous process improvement & Team member leadership and skills development. This role must effectively communicate with Product Engineering, Customer Service, Quality and other departments within MakerBot.
* Oversee daily repair metrics, quality, performance, and safety in repair department * Measure team performance in terms of productivity and quality. * Coaching develop technicians * Track department inventory and order material as necessary * Train and support in all areas of the Service Center as well as departmental procedures and expectations * Diagnosis Mechanical and Electrical problems * Build a quality assurance processes to ensure work is being completed accurately and timely * Proactively look for areas to improve service quality and implement solutions * Ownership of projects of small to medium complexities through to completion * Ability and Skills to perform Reworks and Refurbish 3D printers * Oversee the development and implementation of effective repair processes to ensure the achievement of high levels of product quality and turnaround time * Provide feedback to management regarding product reliability with focus on analyzing RMA results and trends to identify the need for design improvements * Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment through the adherence to OSHA, hazardous, safety procedures and perform frequent inspections of all equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
* 4-year college degree (directly related experience can replace) * Supervisor experience, preferably in a repair or service operation. * Technical troubleshooting/repair background preferred * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate employees * Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies * Self-starting, highly motivated individual; excellent organizational skills; ability to work under minimal supervision; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task * Proactive problem-solving ability and excellent attention to detail * Exceptional PC skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and spreadsheet applications. * Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
