Mission/Job Scope:

The eCommerce Engineer works under the Manager of Development Operations to provide support to the existing Leslie’s eCommerce platform. This position is highly focused in providing support for the Salesforce platform and other closely related systems. This position will be actively providing ongoing maintenance as well as being tasked with implementing new solutions to improve business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Your duties will include: Receiving directives from IT development managers and implementing the requested solutions quickly and effectively.Providing support to other IT staff and business users by solving development challenges that may appear; including UI/UX developmentUtilizing a full-stack toolkit to develop new solutions to solve new business needs as they ariseCommunicating with managers and key stakeholders as needed during capital projects and changes ensure platform stabilityWork diligently to provide solutions within the Salesforce environment where they are needed and keep working to improve the platform with code fixes
  • Essential Competencies:

This position is dynamic and requires a dedication to developing solutions and providing support to critical business operations. You are someone who demonstrates a strong and versatile skillset but also is looking to learn.

  • Understand the functional, technical and process needs of the business to design and develop solutions exceeding expectations
  • The candidate has knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Business Manager, OMNI Channel Fulfillment, and functional knowledge of eCommerce solutions.
  • Comfortable with working with business users and technical staff to discuss technical concepts and develop solutions to support all stakeholders.
  • Actively continues to pursue training and stay up to date with an ever changing Salesforce environment
  • Illustrates knowledge on how to turn challenges into opportunities using eCommerce solutions
  • Work with the quality assurance team to ensure implemented items are tested and working as designed
  • Work on assignments given by management and be able to balance multiple assignments
  • Qualifications

  • A four year degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or Technology
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Salesforce development.Salesforce certifications are a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Skills Required: 

  • Superb communication and negotiation skills for navigating between business leads and technical leads
  • Knowledge of development on eCommerce solutions.
  • Full stack knowledge and an adaptive toolkit to meet a variety of challenges
  • Programming languages and integration tools including Dell Boomi, Javascript, Java, HTML, CSS, etc.
  • Database knowledge and functional skills utilizing MSSQL
  • Specialized training on the Salesforce platform is a plus

    Leslie’s Corporate Office is located in a centralized area of Phoenix, Arizona. The expansive office space offers covered parking, a fully functional on-site gym, and a wellness center with an in-house nurse practitioner. There are 2 large breakrooms with a small grocery-like market, flavored water dispenser (still or sparkling), coffee machines, as well as a ping pong and foosball table. In addition, Leslie’s hosts Food Truck Friday in the parking lot for employees twice a month.
