Qualcomm's System Validation and Emulation (SVE) Team is part of the central SoC digital hardware organization responsible for the overall quality of the SoC silicon. The SVE team works closely with designers, verification engineers, software engineers, and program management. The candidate is to help install, maintain, and troubleshoot various electrical and mechanical hardware systems in a lab environment. The candidate should be open to working overtime with occasional overtime or evening shifts as needs arise. Responsibilities Prepare new robotic pick-and-place handlers for use by test and debug engineers Install changeover kits to allow handlers to service a variety of different projects Ensure lab cleanliness, safety, and organization Manage inventory of parts and tools Troubleshoot faulty electrical and mechanical systems pertaining to handlers and their inputs Run various test and experiments to certify proper functioning of handler systems Assist in documentation and communication of equipment status and planning
2-5+ years of experience in the following areas: oBasic wiring diagrams and electric circuits oElectrical/mechanical systems and robotics oAbility to design well-thought out solutions to mechanical problems on the fly oStrong teamwork instincts oStrong communication skills oMicrosoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint oCertificate or Associates Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Systems, or related course of study
Experience in setup, design, maintenance of semiconductor chip handlers Ideal candidates will have automated handling systems equipment and production test floor (semi-conductor) experience. Fab experience may be a plus
Preferred: Associate's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
