Our clientlocated in Burbank, Californiawhos a world leader in the manufacturing ofproducts that serve high-growth, global end-markets, including oil and gas production, hydrocarbon processing, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, manufacturing, water and waste-water treatmentis seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Product Development experience on a Permanent basis.

Summary:

The position will provide engineering leadership, project management and design engineering expertise bring mechanical product development projects from concept to manufacturing reality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policy and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Works independently, or as a member of a team.
  • Lead and manage assigned projects.
  • Coordinates external and internal resources as needed.
  • Created / improve product design data as required (3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Material, etc.)
  • Verifies designs through calculation / analysis / computer aided modeling methods.
  • Develops test plans, and directs or executes testing activities (as needed)
  • Responsible for several large projects with large scope / high complexity and / or multiple medium projects with medium scope and complexity.
  • Responsible for reporting and measuring progress on assigned projects.
  • Previous experience must lie in Industrial / Commercial Product Manufacturing as an engineer developing and releasing new products.

Skills / Equipment:

  • Excellent visualization & conceptualization skills
  • Communicates clearly.Verbally can create clear pictures for others.Unambiguous and decisive written communications (specifications, plans, presentations, etc.)
  • Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities for project management (Personal Energy, accurate communication)
  • Analytical: Must be able to develop relevant experiment designs, analyze data, form appropriate conclusions, and create appropriate models needed for system simulation.
  • Organization Skills tracks status of multiple projects.Prioritization is key.
  • Must have proven track record in root cause identification, developing & implementing solutions related to products and processes.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply research to the planning, design, development and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience with 3D CAD Modeling required.SolidWorks experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Hydrogen, volatile fluids, LNG, CNG, Compressed gases such as propane desired.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 1-2 years of practical experience.

TRAVEL:

  • 10 to 30% domestic and/or international
