The Discovery Chemistry group is committed to the delivery of highquality drug candidates working with all six Janssen Therapeutic Areas (TA)discovery teams. This mission requires deepscientific expertise in a number of disciplines including chemistry, cellularand molecular pharmacology, enzymology, and screening technologies coupled withan ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners. Building on a strong legacy of success, weare currently seeking an outstanding individual to join our team as Associate Scientist, DiscoveryChemistry. This position will be basedat our drug discovery site in Spring House, PA.
We are seeking an experiencedBachelors degree- or Masters degree level medicinal chemist with excellentorganic synthesis expertise to advance small molecule drug discovery programstoward the clinic. In this laboratory-based position, the successful candidatewill partner with both internal and external medicinal chemistry teams togenerate innovative solutions to synthetic and medicinal chemistry challengeswithin the context of small molecule drug discovery projects. She/he willmaintain close interactions with computer assisted design scientists andbiologists. Strong people skillsand the ability to thrive in a team and goal driven environment are keyattributes. This individual must alsoexcel in communication and have strong interpersonal skills necessary toinfluence in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
