Be a part of a team of Quality Engineers at the Freeport, IL site that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and, product quality.
Provide customer support, including RMA/field complaint investigation & supporting communications
Work directly with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), manufacturing personnel and members of quality to accomplish strategic initiatives
Assist in advancing HOS (CIs, BIQ, 5S, tier escalation, visual management, standard work)
Ongoing metrics support for Cost of Product Quality / Scrap, PPM & Return Material Authorization Days Open, First Pass Yield, Corrective Action tracking
Ongoing support to ensure compliance to ISO9001:2015 & AS9100:2016 Quality Management System requirements
Uses RPS/8D/CAPA problem analysis tools to identify and implement quality process solutions
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Bachelors Degree and 3+ years experience in a Quality Engineering or similar role
US citizenship or green card, based on site ITAR requirements
Hands on work ethic
Regulatory understanding, esp. UL, DLA, FAA agencies and AS9100D/ISO9001:2015
Provide clear and concise communications, both written and verbal, with progressive levels of leadership
Greenbelt Certified and knowledge of six sigma tools
Proficient using common software (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Minitab, etc.).
