Provide electrical engineering services for new production equipment and all aspects of manufacturing to ensure that world class products are available to our customers.
Minimum Job Responsibilities:
Assist new products team with determining requirements and cost estimates for machines that are built in-house and by outside suppliers.Create timing plans, design control systems, create schematics, order components, write programs, debug machines and provide support for one year after launch.Control systems include electrical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, servo, HMIs, etc.Review existing logic programs to ensure safety of all associates.Use innovative techniques to improve manufacturing processes.Ensure that logic systems documentation is complete, up-to-date, stored on computer files and available at all times.Work closely with Safety Engineer and Safety Coordinator to preventoccupational injuries or accidents.Support Team Leaders, Maintenance Personnel and Engineers by using experience and troubleshooting skills in finding solutions to manufacturing problems.Assist the Engineering Department to ensure compliance of Global Steering Systems machine specification for new purchases and rebuilds.Complete any other tasks as required to meet the mission statement, key responsibilities and/or the Plant Engineering Managers requirements.Promote company policies and principles.Ensure that all areas of responsibility meet all state and local laws and requirements in relation to OSHA.

Physical Requirements:
Position may require lifting and bending as well as visual inspection.Occasional manual handling not to exceed 35 pounds.
Job Requirements (Recommended):Bachelors Degree in electrical Engineering and minimum of five years experience in the field.Minimum of three years related manufacturing experience in electrical engineering, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
