Leadsupplier development and strategic sourcing for multiple electro-mechanicalcomponent categories with the goal of supplier evaluation and selection, achievingyear over year cost savings and driving continuous improvement in supplier quality.Sustain category expertise through an understanding of supply markets andtrends, cost drivers and internal business impact.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work cross functionallywith multiple stakeholders (R&D, Operations, Quality) to select and qualifysuppliers of electro-mechanical raw materials
Lead supplierselection, evaluation, negotiation and supplier management strategies. Ensuresuppliers have the required competency to deliver products that meets specs,with the required accuracy and repeatability
Collaborate withengineering teams to optimize component specs that are manufacturable at therequired quality and cost
Develop and implementsourcing strategies for key spend categories: internal assessment of currentand future spend requirements; assessment of supply market; understand suppliereconomics; assess total cost of ownership
Collaborate with keystakeholders to develop cost reduction strategies and implementation plans thatmeet business needs
Manage supplierperformance including supply assurance, balanced scorecards and continuousimprovement plans
Analyze best costcountry sourcing and develop strategy: Identify sourcing opportunities; evaluatesupply base and understand supply market complexities
Lead cross-functionalprojects requiring changes to suppliers or supply base.
Lead and develop riskmanagement strategies to increase awareness and implement appropriate riskmitigation plans, such as dual sourcing
Drive annual costsavings in each spend category. Develop multi-year savings pipeline andassociated implementation plan
Create and implement acontinuous improvement sourcing approach for key electro-mechanical spendcategories
Drive sourcing bestpractices across company for assigned spend categories. Ensure compliance to all policies andprocedures and maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor of Sciencedegree in engineering. MBA and/or CPM preferred
Ten or more years oftechno-commercial Sourcing experience
