The candidate should be hard working with a strong interest in sustainability and renewable energy development. The candidate will assist the solar project management team in all aspects of commercial solar project development. Responsibilities will include: Prospective site evaluation by completing initial helioscope design Evaluate and manage local and state solar incentive programs Analyze energy usage data Compile and manage comprehensive project budget Financial Analysis Coordinate with engineering to value engineer design options, as well as complete and submit utility interconnection package Material procurement Submission of RFPs Communicate with utility and complete action items to ensure timely interconnection process completion Contract negotiations Work with Project Managers and Construction Management team on all aspects of a solar construction project, including, arranging material deliveries, equipment Purchase Orders, and subcontractor management. Research and apply for building and electrical permits, interact with local building departments Requirements: Academic course of study in Engineering, Sustainability or Business. An undergraduate degree in another discipline, combined with strong solar knowledge, would be considered as well. The ability to analyze, model and interpret data Superior oral and written communication skills Excellent in Excel, Word, Outlook, Smart Sheets Able to organize and work independently, and manage multiple projects Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment Exhibits tenacity in problem solving, and critical thinking Helioscope design knowledge (optional) Solar modeling (optional) Associated topics: circuit, design, image processing, kv, lighting, msee, plc, signal processing, solar, transmission
