To provide the highest levels of field service support which will directly drive the development and growth of Edwards sales and service business. Areas of support typically cover installation, commissioning, maintenance & troubleshooting of all Edwards products, with key areas of focus being Safety, Quality and Customer satisfaction.
-Responsible for performing Installation and commissioning activities of Edwards products in line with Edwards global standards, whilst ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
-Set up and operate product software and monitoring type products, examples being, but not limited to Fabworks iMS, STP Link & Equipment Support Toolkit.
-Provide advanced faultfinding and troubleshooting support to their customers targeting to resolve or escalate issues within a timeframe which meets contractual commitments, and customers expectations.
-Ensure that all field service activities are conducted within the boundaries of Edwards health and safety policies. Risk control elements covering all relevant aspects of the field service role must be adhered to and promoted at all times
-Support the delivery of product training using global training packages, ensuring minimum standards are met, and recorded as part of a formal certification process
-Provide accurate, factual reports to the team leader or technical support personnel to enable informed decisions to be made on a course of action to resolve product issues
-Utilize Edwards operating platforms (ie SAP) to accurately capture service related information as determined by the scope of responsibility for creation of field service notifications and orders, through to completion.
-Develop relationships with key customers and acting as a primary feedback loop into the Edwards service sales and technical support groups to ensure all opportunities are captured by the appropriate lines of business.
- Other duties as assigned.
-Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field required.
-Five (5) years of Field service experience in a relevant or related industry required. Experience within a customer facing role preferred.
-Computer literate with a good command of ms excel, word and PowerPoint
-Ability to manage and prioritize activities and workload to meet customer requirements is crucial
-Advanced troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to fault find in a logical manner through to resolution of issues is key to the role
-The ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner with customers as well as internally are a key requirements of this role.
-Be a competent important face to the customer as well as being strong service minded.
-Learn to develop and update skills with new product and technology.
-Be open and approachable in all aspects of the position.
-Open to travel both Domestic and occasional international business.
