Assist with staying up to speed with all applicable regulations and conducting internal audits of EHS plans, policies, programs, procedures, and permits.
Asist with closing compliance gaps through development and management of corrective actions and conducting post closure follow-up to ensure sustainment.
Assist with training development, revisions and delivery to associates and contractors.
Function as secondary Incident Commander, Emergency Response Coordinator and Site Safety Health Supervisor when needed.
Function a lead auditor or liaison during regulatory inspection or audits (e.g., OSHA, DNREC, EPA, DOT, DHS, interdivisional, internal, etc.).
Assist with conducting incident/injury investigations using root cause analysis techniques
Assist with tracking corrective actions from incidents and injuries in order to comply with regulatory requirements and ensure sustainment.
Manage and prepare annual regulatory reports (e.g. waste, Form R s, Tier 2 s etc.)
Manage environmental permits through completing permit amendments, approvals, or cancelations (e.g., air, stormwater, wastewater, landfill etc.).
Assist with managing the hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs (budget, manifesting, profiling, satellite waste collection, and project management).
Assist with EHS administrative responsibilities (e.g., recordkeeping, budget tracking, metric tracking, training tracking, UST inventory etc.).
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor s degree is required and in a field of science is preferred science (geology, earth science, geo-physics, geography, engineering, or chemistry)
At least two to three years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred
CHMM, CSP, ASP, ESP, CIH, OHST
Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities :
Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safely laws and regulations
Practical experience implementing EHS processes and programs at an industrial facility
Ability to comprehend and interpret regulatory requirements
Ability to produce training materials for in-house courses; ability to amend and revise training and compliance programs as necessary; and, ability to deliver effective training using a variety of techniques
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of employees in the organization
Good public speaking skills
Ability to stay calm and function under pressure
Ability to obtain results through others
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously
Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work alone and in a team
Self-motivated and results oriented
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to pass a medical fitness exam and respirator fit test
Must obtain a 24 Hour Hazardous Material Technician certificate within the first two months of hire
Must obtain the OSHA 30-hr (General Industry) certificate within the first two months of hire
Must obtain a 24 Hour HAZOPER Technician certificate within the first six months of hire
Must complete all other training commensurate with Master SOP List
