Feedback design ideas. Introduce new capabilities to product roadmaps, etc. You are someone who understands the physics of acoustics and intricacies of testing with high resolution critical electro acoustic parameters (specifically pertaining to microphone performance). You would be lead for 1 to 2 engineers who would develop test methods, work with design teams and marketing to define performance requirements. Market focus is mobile products, IoT and in some cases studio/performer mics.What You Will Be Doing?Contributing as an audio/acoustics expert, in the stages of validation, characterization, and customer engagement debug as needed.?Acoustics and system-level microphone modeling and validation data analysis, including creation of tools.?Contributor to the optimization of microphone for key performance parameters.?Perform critical listening evaluations.?Analysis of early silicon validation results, working closely with MEMS, ASIC, and package designers, pushing measurement technology/capability as needed.?Support debug efforts to resolve technical product-related issues.?Acoustical/electrical design of bench level and automated test capability, supporting any new precision acoustic measurement requirements.?Support as needed on the design of specialized microphone-related fixtures, including those for RF-immunity and mechanical robustness testing.What You Need for this Position?10 years related experience?A bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering and/or Acoustics?Strong in audio concepts/processing, acoustics, and psychoacoustics?Expert in audio/acoustic measurement techniques and analysis tools?Acoustic system & circuit design experience?Strong in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (such as PADS, Orcad, Cadence, etc.) for audio circuits and systems?Expert in audio analyzer hardware and software systems (such as Audio Precision APx system, Rohde & Schwarz UPV, National Instruments PXI, etc.)?Expert in acoustic measurement microphones, calibrators and related hardware (from B&K, GRAS, etc)?Knowledgeable in silicon validation and measurement tools (microscopes, probe stations, Zygo profilometers, Keithley semiconductor test systems, etc.)?Strong in data analysis tools (such as MATLAB, Excel, etc.)?Knowledgeable with test equipment communication (GPIB, USB, etc.) automation/programming tools (such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, etc.)What's In It for You- Vacation/PTO- Medical- Dental- Vision- Relocation- Bonus- 401kSo, if you are a Sr Staff Acoustic Measurement & Validation Engineer with experience, please apply todayApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Additional ways to applyPreferred SkillsAcousticTestproductacoustical modeling
