Position Description: Will manage the Sustaining Engineering department. Manage engineering projects and timelines to keep on schedule and on budget.
Develop an efficient, cost effective and sound processes used to manufacture hermetically sealed packages, connectors and assemblies utilizing Six Sigma & data analytics methodologies. Responsible for directing the Engineering group with strategies and expectations of the Company and customer requirements.
Responsible for operational excellence (VAVE initiatives). Implement DMAIC methodology to ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production.
Assure that adequate engineering systems and programs are developed, implemented and are in place to meet company goals and objectives.
Participate in the development of continual improvement plans and capital projects. Interface with customers to identify and resolve their engineering requirements.
Make recommendations of prototype products for improvement. Work closely with the Operations, Sales and Quality teams to meet customer requirements and needs.
Create and produce a variety of written material such as forms, charts and other documents of similar complexity.
Participate in cross-departmental groups investigating problems, developing solutions and preparing related recommendations and reports.
Provide technical direction and project management guidance to the team of engineers. Provide technical engineering expertise to assure and maintain effective program launches, safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing processes.
Position Requirements: BS in an engineering discipline; 10 years experience in an engineering organization; 5-8 years experience in management.
Must have knowledge of glass to metal seal, all basic machining practices and production flow requirements.
Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with a diverse range of personnel. Proficient with CAD and SolidWorks.
Demonstrated history of completing complex engineering projects on schedule and within budget.
