Jacobs is looking for an entry level water engineer. This engineer will work with a municipal client overseeing studies, designs, and construction for wastewater, stormwater, water supply, drainage, and conveyance projects. The role will involve working with multi-disciplinary teams through the planning, design, and implementation phases of projects completed for the municipal client.Our ideal candidate would bring a positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills, and a willingness to contribute to our existing team. This individual will also assist with delivering projects and serving and developing clients. Candidates should be self-motivated, detailed oriented, quality driven, and team-focused. Our Water Engineers:
Work on wastewater and stormwater conveyance and water distribution system evaluations including alternatives evaluations, optimization, cost analysis, preliminary/detailed design, permitting, construction engineering services, and/or facilities startup
Work under the supervision of senior level engineers
Prepare engineering conceptual designs, reports, studies, calculations, planning, and modeling
Perform routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals
Must be able to understand, edit and coordinate project planning reports, design specifications and drawings
Possess an outgoing and positive attitude, dependable and capable of meeting assigned project deadlines
Have strong communication skills specifically related to writing and presentations
Make site visits and conduct site audits
Perform field work to assess existing sewer, water and storm sewer systems, which may include subcontractor observation
Bachelors degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 monthsrequired.
Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams
Experience with ArcGIS and graphics/CAD software
