Job Description

Candidate will responsible for sales positioning and strategy development in wastewater process design encompassing biological nutrient removal, primary and secondary clarification and aeration systems. Candidate will be engaged in technical review and senior oversight on projects related to their technical area. Candidate will identify and coordinate with staff for resources, technology and skill sets needed for specific pursuit strategies and positioning. Candidate will assist in the development of growth strategy and identification of key markets for expansion. Candidate will engage in CDM Smith’s R&D program and external entities such as Water Research Environment Foundation. Candidate will attend conferences in alignment with the firm’s water strategy. Candidate will assist in creating technical luminescence and creating strategy for linkage with academia, vendors, manufacturers and industry leaders. Candidate will assist in review of technical bench strength and help develop gap analysis for needed technical staff, technology and skills and competencies needed for growth. Candidate will assist in identification of future candidates, hiring and retention of key staff critical to CDM Smith’s growth.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 15 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills and Abilities

Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communi
