The System Server and Support Engineer is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, configuration, installation, and management of all network servers and related services within the department to meet given requirements. Provides software and hardware support to BMCHS users. This role has key responsibility for the identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions related to BMCHS servers. Assists in making decisions that are critical in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, and server infrastructure planning. Implements the necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends as they develop. Ensures a stable performance environment for systems. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (not required)

* Minimum 3 years of experience in Windows server configuration, design and analytical work

* Understanding of distributed systems architecture and comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines

* Strong technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of standard Microsoft technologies.

* Ability to solve server issues and to manage the performance and capacity of those servers.

* Experience in effectively managing small to large projects in a cross-functional environment

* Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to department needs

* Good judgment and analytical skills; strong follow-up and organizational skills

* Ability to work in a flexible on-call rotation.

* Ability to work independently effectively.

* Ability to assess internal and external communication practices, anticipate future server and systems requirements, and research and analyze emerging technologies

* Demonstrated knowledge of most of the following technical knowledge/skills are mandatory, including from among the following:

* Hardware: Dell/HP

* OS: Windows Server (All Versions)

* Proven ability to manage and administer an enterprise-wide Right Fax environment that includes system administration/user administration/problem tickets etc.

* Responsible for day-to-day overall server environment stability including server patching.

* Design: Security, Active Directory, DNS, RAID, Operational automation, and Clustering

* A broad range of technical knowledge/skills are desired, including from among the following:

* Technology: Windows/AD/DHCP/DNS/RDS/Exchange/Skype/SCOM/VMWare/Citrix/ADFS
