The purpose of the Maintenance Shop Administrator is to manage the administrative duties in relation to the Maintenance Department. Responsible for reporting, safety training and documentation, inventory, purchasing, filing, documenting project progress, and tracking repairs. Also responsible for the the overall cleanliness, organization and security of the M Responsible for overseeing the efficient ordering, receipt, storage and inventory of all shop parts, equipment, chemicals and supplies as well as maintain all logs, inventories, supply and vendor lists as needed to ensure proper accountabliltiy in this area. Ensures that Maintenance Department purchases remain within budgetary constraints under the supervision of the Chief Engineer Maintain the standards of the health, safety, hygiene and security in the Maintenance shop and all designated Maintenance storage areas (on site and off site) Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment Organize and file department paperwork, handle any daily, weekly, or monthly reporting responsibilities Repair/service all equipment/items brought to the shop and ensure that they are in proper working order before being placed back into service Maintain shop equipment and tools in good working order, ensure the proper signing in and out of tools, and ensure that tools are properly secured on a daily basis. Ensure compliance to all Bluegreen SOPs, OSHA requirements, and any other local, state and federal regulations pertaining to the Maintenance department and/or Maintenance operations and maintain any records or reporting associatied with those areas. Coordinate and conduct safety training with proper documentation and tracking in compliance with Bluegreen Risk Management requirements. Asist with daily maintenance duties as needed, special projects, and the Preventative Maintenance programs when time allows or as assigned by Management. Complete additional projects and task as assigned by Managementaintenance Shop and all other Maintenance areas such as the cart corrals and both on and off site storage locations. Assist with daily maintenance duties, projects and the Preventative Maintenance program as time permits or as assigned by Management. Ensures compliance to Bluegreen Department SOPs, OSHA requirements and any other local, state and federal regulations pertaining to the Maintenance Department and/or Maintenance Operations.
Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum of two years maintenance experience, some supervisory, accounting or purchasing management experience preferred but not required Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required Must have general knowledge of maintenance parts, equipment and supplies Must be able to handle basic maintenance services and repairs Must have some grasp of general accounting principles to ensure proper tracking and budgeting of expenditures EPA certification preferred but not required CPO certification preferred but not required Must have follow-through process on short-term and long-term programs Multi-tasking skills are needed Flexibility to deal with changing needs of the department and Management Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of people. Must be a self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision. Frequent lifting of supplies and equipment is required.
