In your role, you will: 

  • Leverage local and regional language skills, cultural skills, coordinate communication between external and internal parties
  • Act as an external liaison and liaise with customers on modification/repair needs, NAAs on certification plans, validation process, kick off meetings, onsite inspections or coordinate through BBA Customer Support in country representatives eg CSAM for DGCA India – ie with relationship, Flammability testing organizations (Singapore Jamco, Skandia, BE Aerospace), Completion centers (Jet Aviation St Louis, FCC Canada, Lufthansa, Innotech, etc) for design guidance for repairs
  • Act as an internal liaison and liaise with Sales to develop a proposal with all certification activities included within downtime and pricing, BBA design engineers in USA and Canada through SRPSAs, modifications and repairs, Part 21 organizations/DOA/ODA (Canada, USA, Australia, Singapore, Europe etc) to obtain relevant approvals, BAS Singapore techs and FCC interior techs for data development or deviations assessments
  • Prepare all necessary documents, such as specifications, quotes, drawings, tests and reports related to aircraft modifications.
  • Coordinate with core design engineering team in US to develop larger engineering design packages for aircraft new cabin upgrades.
  • Work with outside vendors, internal departments, and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, testing, and certification of avionics and entertainment systems in Learjets, Challengers, and GX aircraft.
  • Work with avionics techs for drawing deviations
  • Develop certification plan for project in coordination with BAS Singapore resources and timelines
  • Facilitate STC validations, STC revision validations leveraging BBA contacts who are responsible for these NAA relationships
  • Produce ELA revisions, weight and balance amendments, SMM, SIPC revisions, ICAs
  • Qualifications

    As our ideal candidate,

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in engineering design of avionics, systems and equipment or practical avionic/electrical system testing & integration
  • You have airworthiness certification knowledge across Asia NAAs, FAA, EASA and TCCA (preferred)
  • You have experience with AutoCAD (preferred)
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • You have good analytical, planning, and problem solving skills
  • You have demonstrated leadership skills and creativity in problem solving while working in a team based environment
  • You are a self-starter and are able to handle multiple initiatives effectively
  • You take ownership of issues that are impacting initiatives under your mandate and are results oriented
  • You must have a sense of organization, time management and you demonstrate autonomy
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively across functions, work packages and programs
  • You have proven capability to build and maintain professional relationships by demonstrating strong communication skills
