Position Overview


The Director GTM Strategy will play a critical role in defining the portfolio and GTM strategy for Autodesk design & manufacturing, covering the design, visualization, engineering, data management and PLM portfolio. The candidate will be regarded as an evangelist for the success of his/her product business at Autodesk both inside and outside the organization.

They will be directly responsible for articulating and executing on the portfolio & GTM strategy to exceed Autodesk goals.

This individual will lead a team which develops and manages the portfolio go to market plans to achieve D&M business and growth goals. This includes leading the team identifying and resolving key portfolio & business problems, target personas, pricing, packaging, business models and new and alternative channels and competitive analysis. His /her will be the primary communication channel to internal and external stakeholders about all GTM aspects. The responsibility includes definition and implementation of programs and promotions that support the go to market plans and overall business objectives.

The candidate needs to be a strong team leader able to develop team members. He/she needs to be an effective communicator who thinks strategically, writes concisely, speaks easily to large and small groups and is a coalition builder. He/she must have the appropriate skills to work across a matrixed-organization and who can easily defend positions from a data perspective and mediate opposing views while working collaboratively with cross functional teams across Autodesk.

Responsibilities
  • Manages and develops the Product GTM team as a strong collaborative team
  • Develops with his/her team the one to three-year vision and strategy and a strategic plan around the portfolio
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize and simplify D&M portfolio, developing solid business justification and aligning teams to execute
  • Provides leadership across BSM, Sales and Product in delivering product plans and executing on portfolio changes
  • Identifies product & technology opportunities, dependencies, gaps and risks
  • Further develops business models s and drives go to market plans
  • Works with product teams to clearly jointly identify and drive key solution workflows and product enhancements
  • Conducts internal and external research on the market, competitors and customer personas
  • Influences global pricing analysis and pricing recommendations for all offers that will be introduced into the market via new and existing business models
  • Identifies partnerships and potential acquisitions to support the strategic plan
  • Monitors business performance for the portfolio, documents and report on product billings, adoption, customer acquisition and retention and develops corrective action plans
  • Maintains close customer relationships to effectively represent the voice of the customer with respect to offer price, package, position and business models

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required in order to build strong relationships, particularly with sales, field and product organizations and partners, and an ability to be highly successful in a matrix management organization.
  • Experience with PLM, Data management, CAD, MFG

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of subscription and consumption business models, cloud and SaaS technology and business landscape
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Strong business fundamentals and a background in solving complex customer problems
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and strong executive presentation skills
