Apex Systems, LLC is immediately seeking a DevSecOps/Infrastructure Lead Engineer in support of an enterprise level Government Integrator in Woodlawn, MD. The qualified individual will be part of a collaborative and agile team that supports and builds modern, standards-based responsive web application for mission-critical health IT solutions. The qualified candidate will have strong hands on skills in DevOps, Test Automation, CI/CD, AWS, RedHat Linux, OpenShift, and Agile methodologies.
Location: Open (w/ travel to Maryland once a quarter)
Duration: Temp to Perm

Responsibilities: Performs platform management tasks such as automated configuration management, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, Security Scans, and works closely with the DevOps, Security, and other technical teams. Knowledgeable in the technology tool stack with special concentration in OpenShift Container Platform, DevOps tools stack, and AWS System Operations. Continually advance the technology in a collaborative and creative agile environment using the latest technologies and industry best practices. Develop better and more efficient ways of delivering solutions that meet business objectives. Perform and automate Windows, Linux, Database administration activities, and lead and collaborate with the development team on continually improving processes. Conduct investigations and analysis to provide recommendations regarding technology improvements, development best practices, standardization, scaling, upgrades, and modifications to the client website
Required Qualifications: Must have Bachelor’s Degree & 9+ years’ of relevant experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or Lead Infrastructure Engineer on large web application design/dev projects. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Must be a RedHat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration Must have experience building, designing, & maintaining AWS environments Must have experience with RedHat Linux OS focused environments, to include the standup, build out, and configuration of production level RHEL Servers. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing analysis and designing of solutions. Hands on experience in CI/CD environments, using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, and Docker Experience working in Agile environments, utilizing tools like Jira, GitHub, and Confluence (preferably w/ SAFe environments)
Preferred Qualifications: Agile SAFe certified OKD (Open Source of OpenShift) Security tools such as Twist Lock, Burp Suite Past experience in the Federal Healthcare, Enterprise Healthcare, or Financial space Experience developing secure, enterprise scale browser-based user interfaces Past experience with applications running Java & Node.JS* The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
