Candidate will take a leadership role in driving collaboration projects with external partners to support open ideation and rapid prototyping activities in the domain of Connected and Automated mobility, Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), Robotics AI, Deep Learning, Autonomous Sensor Technology, Big Data Analytics and Wireless Communications (4G, 5G, CV2X, DSRC).
The candidate will develop and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners.
As a supporting role, the candidate will also be responsible for investigating and understanding technology trends and movements in the US Auto Industry in the areas of Connected and Automated Mobility.
Lead ideation and multi-partner collaboration initiatives with industry partners through projects including but not limited to hackathons, innovation meetups and open ideation to support rapid prototyping of innovative concepts in the areas listed above
Develop relationships with innovation ecosystem partners and actively investigate new partners of interest within Government, Supplier, Academia and OEM
Execute project management on collaboration initiatives including all aspects of project planning, tracking and scheduling and provide management level updates on project status
Attend technical/industry conferences, meetings, events, consortiums to acquire vital information.
Create clear and concise reports (written and verbal) summarizing findings as well as strategy to support prototype group
Closely interface with multiple internal teams on project execution
Travel and overtime may be required depending on projects
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
3+ years of experience in the automotive or related industry. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong project management skills required including experience with software such as Microsoft Project
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate including reports to top management
Ability to clearly and concisely summarize technical and industry information from a variety of sources (Conferences, Seminars, Meetings, Consortiums, Technology Publications, Personal Networks and others)
Deep understanding of the disruptive trends in mobility technology areas described above and a deep (Connected and Automated Vehicles, ADAS, AI, Deep learning, etc)
Familiarity with technology start-ups is preferred
Understanding of multi-cultural work environment preferred
