The Technical Trainer will support the newly awarded, five year, Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Cyber Defense Engineering and Training II (CDET II) contract at Schriever AFB, Colorado in support of the 50th Space Wing.

Duties:

  • Responsible for implementing technical training courses, facilitating visits, and performing lab demonstrations that provide a competitive edge for technical audiences. This will include the delivery of standard and customized training based on field needs and the delivery of new product and technology training in support of field readiness.

  • Assist in production and modification of technical data required for implementation of DCO solutions, system authorization documentation, and mission system baseline changes.

  • The position will also be responsible for helping to create, test, and review new and existing courseware.

  • Produce and deliver a Training Plan and continue to update as necessary.

  • Develop, update, and maintain the mission system Operational Crew cyber course material including but not limited to, course syllabi, presentation slides, student handouts, assessments, etc.

  • Provide buildout, system administration, and technical upkeep of the training range.

  • Provide and instruct realistic training scenarios and objectives.

  • Support all mission system exercise, rehearsals, real-world and contingency operations, and mission assessments that require DCO/cyber defense involvement.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and a minimum of 3 years of experience, including 2 years of cybersecurity experience with emphasis on cybersecurity course training development. May consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Must have a knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards applied to the cyber security field. General application of concepts, and principles.

  • Ability to demonstrate the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.

  • IAT II certfification required: One required certification from the following: CCNA Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, SSCP.

  • Requires Active or Interim TS/SCI security clearance.
