AECOM Buildings + Places is actively seeking a highly-talented Structural Engineers for employment in the Boston, MA office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs structural design of buildings and transportation structures and prepares related engineering calculations and structural modeling. Building types may include but are not limited to commercial buildings, government buildings, rail stations and airport terminals.
Builds 3D finite element analytical structural models.
Conducts structural design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Prepares design criteria for projects following the applicable building codes
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced structural engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving structural engineering problems.
Coordinates with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
Structural BIM modeling using Revit or similar software
Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
0-2 years of experience
Interest in Structural design of building structures
Travel to project site and meetings as needed.
Masters in Structural Engineering
2+ years preferred experience
Federal and design/build projects experience
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
Software experience with Revit, ETABS, SAFE, TEDDS, SAP2000, MathCAD, SpecsIntact, spColumn, spBeam, spWall
