The incumbent will be key part of the operations engineering team in the process development of next generation products.

Responsible for introduction of high speed automation lines for the next generation product, supporting the PoP lines through to full scale up volumes within a defined timeline. Plan, implement and manage major engineering projects associated with assembly of finished product including development, build, test, commissioning, validation activities, RCE documentation etc. as required.

Manage relevant departmental/project budgets within target and implement CIP/BEx projects as required.

Departmental decision making at the local site reporting to Senior Management on development and oversight on key automation lines for ADC.

Ensure the project meets quality requirements of all key internal stakeholders including but not limited to internal (ADC) R&D, Regulatory, Quality groups while also being the key contact for TPM operations to ensuring adherence to the required ADC policies and procedures. Measures and reports progress against approved timelines.

Acts as an effective project leader or team member in supporting timelines, quality disciplines, decisions, and practices.

Ensure prompt attention of the Senior Management in areas of risk, which might have an adverse effect project delivery, product and/or safety.

Based at ADC West coast side with future potential of working directly with ADC partner CMO (TPM). Will need to build strong links to links to Abbott sites in Ireland and UK. The individual will need to have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire a team, engage with the CMO and communicate across multiple different time zones.

Will regularly interact with Senior level management team with principal level engineering reports.

The immediate reporting line will be to offsite remote manager, with onsite team based support. The individual will be required to be self-starting and self-motivated. This will develop to a lead role with up to 4 reports.

Experience on working on new bespoke high speed automation lines prefer, with added experience of bringing complex products to market would be a distinct advantage.

Degree level engineering qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing/Science or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience. Experience of Project managing the implementation of high speed automation lines in a FMCG or high volume medical device environment. 3 year s previous experience in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical environment required. New product process development desired. Travel for this role is from 35% up to 50%. Supervisory experience preferred but not essential.
